We started serving our delicious coffee at three locations on the railways in 2007 providing that wake up shot to fuel our customers 'laptop' commute into Oxford and London.  Wanting to expand we were fortunate in 2014 to be introduced to the Snowhill development team through a customer who wanted to see Diplomats in the growing Birmingham Business District.  After a hectic reconnaissance and introduction to the developer, a 3-D flythrough presentation resulted in us being offered our current location at TWO Snowhill

Our Coffee

Our biggest challenge prior to starting Diplomats was to find suitable coffee beans.  After several months of research and a lot of coffee tasting, a stroke of luck visiting Great Malvern resulted in an introduction to Jason of Piccolo Mondo.  With a fantastic Anglo/Italian heritage of coffee roasting and grinding in Amalia's family going back over 70 years, Jason and Amalia produce an excellent Italian Roast that has the fullness of flavour to support all styles of coffee.

Our FOOD

Our food ethos is to purchase good quality that is locally sourced.  To reduce food miles on as many items as possible we have developed relationships with several local producers: Bretts of Birmingham as our fruit and vegetable supplier, Cheesemakers Fowlers of Earlswood, Glebe Farm in Cambridgeshire for Oat milk as a great alternative to imported Soya milk, Mornflake of Crewe for all our oat products, especially our in-house flapjacks.

Having always loved industrial minimalism, we were delighted to bring this to TWO Snowhill.  SeymourSmith Architects were able to translate our ideas to paper and finally into reality, integrating our focal points to give the industrial space a welcoming, stylish and modern ambiance.
